A University of Oregon student has released a great graphic depiction of America’s bicycle mode share, government spending on bike/ped infrastructure, and bicycle-related fatalities. The North Polk On-Street Bike Corral Demonstration Local bike advocate, Whiteaker Neighborhood Council member, and car-free father of four, Paul Adkins has submitted a proposal to the City of Eugene to install the first non-business related bike corral in Eugene. The City of Eugene recently submitted three projects for the federally funded transportation enhancement (TE) program, which has historically funded many off-street path projects in Eugene. In the current round of funding, ODOT is considering two projects in Eugene out of about 85 applications in total.
