Via SRTS: Pumpkin Kidical Mass Pictures!

This is just so awesome I had to re-post it here. Via Eugene Safe Route to School:

Had a great Kidical Mass ride on Saturday! A good sized group met at RiverPlay and even picked up a family who was just playing at the park and thought the ride sounded fun. We rode through Washington/Jefferson Park, the Whiteaker neighborhood and to the Corner Market (who opened special for us) where we picked out and carved some jack-o-lanterns. More than 35 kids and adults, lot’s of smiles, and some fun pumpkin carving. A great fall day!

Take the jump for a little more about the ride!

A previous SRTS post explains the ride:

Come join us as we ride from RiverPlay Park at Skinner Butte Park, through the Whitaker neighborhood to the “Corner Farmers Market” where we’ll stop and carve up some wicked Jack-o-lanterns and drink some apple cider.  Bring your own pumpkin and carving tools or get a pumpkin at the market!

What better way to enjoy these beautiful crisp fall days than with pumpkin carving, apple cider, and a family bike ride?!
See you tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 16th) at 3 p.m. at RiverPlay Park!

A little Kidical Mass refresher:
Kidical Mass is a legal, safe and FUN bike ride for kids, kids at heart, and their families. All types of bikes, trailers, trail-a-bikes, Xtracycles, longtails, bakfiets, Long Johns, tandems, folders, trikes, and whatever rolls are welcome! Come hoot it up with us.
Why do the ride? To celebrate the fact that Kids are Traffic Too. For family fun on vehicles that don’t hurt the future! Another excuse to pedal with your family.
The next Kidical Mass ride will be November 20th, and may involve tots in tweed?!? Watch EugeneSRTS.org for updates.  Feel free to post links to your pictures!
